
Organizers
The organizer of the camps in Zakopane is Mathematics Promotion Society, which is also the central organizer of the Kangaroo competition in Poland. The Society consists mainly of mathematicians associated with Nicolaus Copernicus University and the Toruń mathematics community. They ensure the quality of the mathematical activities held during the camp.
The group organizing the camps in Zakopane includes:
- Prof. Mieczysław K. Mentzen - President of Mathematics Promotion Society, lecturer at Nicolaus Copernicus University, mathematics popularizer, and workshop leader at the Zakopane camps.
- Dr. Witold Kraśkiewicz - Chairman of the organizing committee of the Kangaroo competition in Poland, lecturer at Nicolaus Copernicus University, mathematics popularizer, author of publications in the Miniatury matematyczne series, workshop leader at the Zakopane camps, and multiple-time coordinator of the mathematical part of the camp.
- Dr. Agnieszka Krause - Lecturer at Nicolaus Copernicus University and mathematics teacher at IV High School in Toruń, deputy camp director in Zakopane, and workshop leader at the Zakopane camps.
- M.Sc. Adam Makowski - Mathematics teacher at the University High School in Toruń, camp director in Zakopane (coordinates the daily schedule and recreational part of the camp).
- M.Sc. Piotr Nodzyński - Teacher and mathematics popularizer associated for many years with Nicolaus Copernicus University and the Toruń mathematics community, founder of Aksjomat Publishing House, organizer of the Funny Mathematics workshops, and the first camp director in Zakopane.
- Dr. Andrzej Sendlewski - Associated for many years with Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, mathematics popularizer, mentor to many mathematics teachers, workshop leader at the Zakopane camps, and multiple-time coordinator of the mathematical part of the camp.
- Dr. Mateusz Topolewski - Lecturer at Nicolaus Copernicus University and teacher at the Toruń IT Technical School, mathematics and computer science popularizer, author of publications in the Miniatury matematyczne series, workshop leader at the Zakopane camps, and coordinator of the mathematical part of the camp.
- Dr. Magdalena Wysokińska-Pliszka - Lecturer at Nicolaus Copernicus University and mathematics teacher at IV High School in Toruń, author of publications in the Miniatury matematyczne series, and workshop leader at the Zakopane camps.
The Zakopane camp also relies on many other individuals not mentioned by name above. These include guest workshop leaders and national team leaders, who bring a lot of positive energy and serve as sources of inspiration. An important figure is also Halina Borkowska, responsible for the administrative management of the Society's activities, including the Zakopane camp.
